A cake is a small example of poise, precision, and quality that its creator imprints at the time of
preparation and therefore the premise of this project is to put value into the cake, as a jewel to the
palate. The interior space had a complicated geometry and was resolved with a simple gesture: to adapt the
perimeter to faceted geometric volumes that remind us of a precious gem and function as display,
cashier, storage, and preparation areas. Within this volume the structural and mechanical elements are hidden. To fully perceive the variety of cakes, which are displayed at eye level and reflected from various angles allowing them to multiply and scatter along the space creating an enveloping sensation.
